Fed up of all the traditional shanties and folk songs murdering the women in the first verse? Fed up of every female being 'just' a mother, or virgin, or whore? So is Aunty Shanty! Here we get together in friendship and sing songs old and new with a feminist, queer twist, in a happy, gentle environment where we can enjoy our traditions, and fix them up so they're ready for the future.
